– A Custom Dutch Door For A Children’s Playroom

This was a special small woodworking project requested by a client for their kids. The playroom is a small cubby partially tucked under the basement stairs – the perfect little space tucked away to play.

This is the first time I’ve created a mini version of a dutch door and it was both fun and challenging at the same time.

The dutch door incorporates a peep hole, a shelf on the inside of the lower door, and easy to use pull style magnetic latches to operate the upper and lower doors together or independently. The stain will be completed when additional millwork and finishing is done for a bar in the basement in order to ensure consistent colour.
